We recently hosted a workshop where one of our streamers, happyf333tz, shared their approach to interacting with their audience through the use of card collections. They also provided super valuable tips and tricks to increase sales and successfully monetize their content with Streamloots. Overview
We highly recommend watching the entire video, however, in case you’re in a hurry, here’s a quick summary of what was discussed during the workshop:
- Create unique collections and chest designs to stand out from the rest.
- Spend some time analyzing premade cards and thinking about what you would change to make them suit your content and style.
- Make your own card art or order them from designers. Requires an investment, but will make your collections unique and will be worth it!
- Try to create chests and cards that are themed around the game you’re playing. E.g., Chests similar to the ones you find in Sea of Thieves.
- Create patch notes to keep your viewers informed on changes you make to collections. E.g., X card has been removed, X card is no longer a fragmented card or X card now has a different rarity.
- Analyze card usage to see if they’re exciting and fun to your viewers, and consider removing or tweaking cards that aren’t working too well.
- Consider delaying the use of card crafting, as initially, it is best to slowly introduce your community to the use of Streamloots cards and then enable other features such as crafting, subscriptions, auctions, etc.
- This also applies to collections. Start with one collection and progressively add new collections as viewers start getting interested in other types of interactions and collection themes.
- Make sure to thoroughly configure all card settings to ensure they have a decent volume configured, cooldowns are properly set, card timers, TTS, etc.
- Get feedback from your community and mods, it’s crucial to listen to what they have to say!
- Consider compensating your viewers if a certain card or interaction doesn’t meet expectations. This will increase your community’s loyalty, but you also need to set some boundaries, as you’re the first person who needs to be satisfied by your content and interactions.
