On this occasion, we’ve been lucky enough to talk to Bl3ssur about his experience with our platform.
He’s currently a pro Pokémon player and a member of the esports club eMonkeyz. Right now, Streamloots is essential for his live streams. Thanks to the cards in his collection he’s managed to create a fantastic and amusing environment in his streams. You can take a peek at them here: https://www.streamloots.com/bl3ssur.
He’s definitely not a newbie in the content creation field, since he’s been in the scene for six years now. After trying both Twitch and YouTube, he decided to live-stream actively on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/bl3ssur/) and upload videos onto YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/user/Bl3sSuR).
Today Bl3ssur’s been very kind and has spent some time telling us about his awesome experience with Streamloots and how he’s managed to make his collection super successful
When you started, did you have a hard time live-streaming?
I’ve got to where I am because I thought I wouldn’t get anywhere. I mean, don’t take me wrong, I hadn’t planned any of this. I used to be a photographer and I only made videos in my spare time. Later on, I started to make videos and live streams every weekend, since I saw that people were interested in my content. I didn’t quit my job right away to start doing this, I started making videos and live-streaming as a hobby. But little by little I moved away from my previous job and I started doing this full-time. And I couldn’t love this more, dude.
What advice would you give to someone that wishes to start in the scene?
First of all, I would advise them not to think about live-streaming as a way to make a living in the beginning. They should work on it progressively, little by little. That way they’ll be able to see how they’re doing and if it works for them. It’s something that takes time, you can’t expect to start and reach the top straight away.
How did you find about our amazing platform?
Lugre contacted me, he told me about Streamloots, and I became instantly interested in it. Then I contacted you guys via e-mail so that you could tell me more about the platform and help me start using it.
Now that you’re live-streaming actively on Twitch, which is the monetizing method that works the best for you?
Streamloots, obviously. Basically, I’ve been using it since I started, and it’s the best one for me. I have many cards to mess around with my viewers and we all know that people love that. Some of them are also based on the games that I stream. I only have one collection and I keep adding cards that I’ve come up with if they make sense to me and I really think that they can work. Since my collection is huge, I then think about which cards I should remove so that it doesn’t grow too much. That way I can make some space for new cards to appear.
How did you explain to your viewers what Streamloots is and why is it your favorite monetizing method?
I basically just explained to them how it works. I told them “It’s a way of supporting me that allows you to interact with me by using some cards. And I can keep 90% of the commission”. I always tell my viewers that this is the best method of donating money. They get rewards, they can interact with me and with other people in the chat, and I receive a greater part of the money that they donate in comparison to other monetizing methods. My viewers are aware that thanks to Streamloots and their support through your platform I can make a living out of this and continue live-streaming.
As a professional streamer, what do you think is the most difficult part of your job?
Sometimes I find it difficult to pay attention to everything that happens around me. I don’t have sound alerts for many of my cards because I don’t want to be hearing an awkwardly annoying sound the whole time. Therefore, when people activate the cards, I have to keep an eye on what they are. However, if I miss out on something, they generally tend to tell me through the chat.
Do you remind your viewers about your collection while you’re live-streaming?
Yes, I do it every day. I have set up a button on my Stream Deck with a reminder about my collection. I use it in my live streams from time to time and it tells people about Streamloots and shows them a link to my collection. Furthermore, I also place there any special offer that I might be doing that month, day or week.
What’s your favorite thing about Streamloots?
I’d say it’s how straight-forward it is for the viewers to support you directly. I think it’s really cool that people can feel that you pay attention to them when they use a card. It’s almost as if they obtained a little power over your stream and it’s a great way of interacting with them.
Finally, what piece of advice or tricks would you recommend to other streamers that use the platform?
Ever since I started, I’ve always had a custom and simple design for my cards. This is really important, especially for someone who doesn’t know how to use Photoshop. That way, they only have to change the image, the title and the text of the cards. If a streamer doesn’t know how to do it, they should ask the designer that made their collection to explain to them how to edit each card.
Furthermore, it’s important to come up with ideas to do special events that can be added to offers and promotions. For example, I did a special event on Halloween. It was a limited event with limited edition cards that were only available for a week. I then combined it with a “Buy a chest, get one free” offer, and added your discount codes. It was a total win for everyone! And this can be applied to many other types of event. I remember I did an event for my birthday in December and I decided to raffle a Nintendo Switch™ Lite.
I’m always organizing raffles and giveaways. I tend to invest a big chunk of my profits in prizes for my viewers like games, merchandising and more stuff, as a reward for their support and loyalty.
Moreover, I have a monthly ranking, my Happy Hour Top 8. These are the eight people that support me the most every month by buying my chests. The reward for being on this ranking is that they can be with me on Discord the following month while I’m live-streaming. This ranking gets renewed monthly. That way everyone has the opportunity to be with me on Discord during my live streams.
Additionally, for every 40 chests that people buy, I give away a coupon of 10 chests on the chat, and I also give my viewers 2 chests every time they renew their subscription. On top of that, I always set a Goal every day. Generally, it’s to sell 80 chests daily.
